Why Did Dr. Ashraghi Become a Dentist?
Dr. Ashraghi decided to become a dentist when she was just 17 years old. After an accident in which she fell and broke her front tooth, she became extremely careful about her own smile – and realized she wanted to help others take good care of their teeth too. With encouragement from her father, she started down this path and has never looked back.
Where Did Dr. Ashraghi Study Dentistry?
After graduating from dental school in 2003, Dr. Ashraghi completed three years of specialty training in restorative and cosmetic dentistry under a full academic scholarship. She then completed a two-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at the University of Rochester. Her 20+ years of experience cover fillings, crowns, bridges, root canal treatment, extractions, cosmetic dentistry and much more.
What Does She Enjoy Outside the Office?
Originally from Iran, Dr. Ashraghi came to America and built a new life from the ground up. Today she lives with her daughter and their dog, Gasper. Dentistry is her true passion, but in her spare time she enjoys working out, reading, writing and meditating.
