Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Ashraghi actually decided to be a dentist when she was just 17 years old. She suffered an accident, falling and breaking her front tooth. Since that time, she’s always been extremely cautious about her smile, and ultimately, she realized that she wanted to help others take good care of their teeth too. With some encouragement from her father, she started on this path and has never looked back.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After graduating from dental school in 2003, Dr. Ashraghi also completed three years of specialty training in restorative and cosmetic dentistry under a full academic scholarship. Afterward, she underwent two years of residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Rochester. Today, her 20+ years of experience in the general field covers fillings, crowns, bridges, root canal treatment, extractions, cosmetic dentistry, and much more.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Originally from Iran, Dr. Ashraghi came to America and built a new life from the ground up. Today, she lives with her daughter and their dog Gasper. Although dentistry is her true passion, some of her favorite hobbies in her spare time include working out, reading, writing, and meditating.

I over the years we’ve had different dentists, some good and some okay, but this one is the best . They provide an outstanding service, they work with your schedule, they are not crazy with any fees, and they make sure you don’t miss your appointment (they email you in advance, then they text you and give you a courtesy call the day before). We are super happy with this dental clinic and with the doctor, she is so nice .
