Innovation at Your Fingertips
Although you may not handle the technologies we use, you will be the one benefiting from them the most. Traditional techniques and devices often required patients to spend a significant amount of time waiting. However, innovative dental technology has drastically improved, offering a superior patient experience. At Alpine Dental, under the guidance of Dr. Maryam Ashraghi
, our digital impressions and intraoral camera reduce the time spent in the dentist’s chair, while producing high-quality results much quicker. Learn more about the advanced dental technology we use in Burke by reading the information below.
Zoom Whitening!
Maintaining a bright smile can be challenging due to daily habits like drinking coffee, wine, or smoking, which can stain teeth over time. Luckily, teeth whitening offers a solution to restore or enhance your natural smile. Our two-step tray whitening system begins with creating custom trays tailored to you. Apply the whitening gel to these trays and wear them for a short period over several days. Alternatively, our ZOOM! chairside procedure utilizes a safe whitening gel and low-intensity light to whiten your teeth by 6-10 shades in just about an hour!
Digital Dental Impressions
Cold, messy dental putty is now a thing of the past thanks to our digital dental impression system. To create a more comfortable experience for our patients, we use a handheld device that looks similar to a pen to scan the inside of your mouth and create a 3D model on a chairside monitor. From here, we can make adjustments before sending the image over to a dental laboratory. Lab technicians will then use the 3D model to produce customized restorations to properly fit your smile.
Soft Tissue Laser
Laser technology is revolutionizing mainstream healthcare procedures, offering numerous benefits such as shorter treatment times, reduced discomfort, and faster healing in both medicine and dentistry. In dental care, pen-shaped laser wands efficiently remove lumps or bumps from the mouth's soft tissues, promoting rapid healing without the need for stitches. Laser treatments can reshape gums, treat infections, and accelerate the healing of cold sores and mouth ulcers, often minimizing pain. Soft tissue lasers provide valuable solutions for a wide range of oral conditions, opening up numerous treatment possibilities in modern dentistry.
Intraoral Camera
You can now easily see what your dentist sees thanks to the use of an intraoral camera. This unique device consists of a small camera that exists on the tip of the wand used to scan your mouth. Projecting the images onto a chairside monitor, you and Dr. Ashraghi can discuss problem areas if any are found, as well as the type of treatment you will need and the importance of good oral hygiene. We view our intraoral camera as a highly effective tool for better patient education.
