Before you get here
A few things that really help
Simple first aid for the drive over.
Go to the ER instead if you have a broken jaw, bleeding you can't control, or swelling that makes it hard to breathe or swallow.
- Knocked-out tooth: hold it by the crown, not the root. Rinse it gently, place it back in the socket if you can, otherwise keep it in a cup of milk and come straight in.
- Broken tooth: rinse with warm water, save any pieces and hold a cold pack on your cheek.
- Toothache: rinse with warm salt water, floss gently around the tooth and take a pain reliever as directed on the label.
- Lost crown: keep it safe and bring it with you. Avoid chewing on that side.

How quickly can you see me?
We offer same-day emergency appointments. Call during office hours (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday, 7:45am to 4:45pm) and we'll find you the soonest time.
I've never been to your office. Is that okay?
Absolutely. New patients and emergency appointments are always welcome.
What if it happens on a Wednesday or the weekend?
Our office is closed Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Call us first thing on our next open day. For a broken jaw, bleeding that won't stop, or swelling that affects breathing, go to the ER right away.
Will I need a root canal or an extraction?
Not always. After diagnostic images, Dr. Ashraghi will explain what's going on. When a tooth can be saved, gentle root canal therapy is usually the first choice.
I'm nervous. Can you help me relax?
Yes. Dr. Ashraghi prioritizes comfort and pain management, and sedation dentistry is available for anxious patients.
